Welcome to my blog!  This is a very exciting week for me.  You see–I am a marketing fanatic!  It is an addiction.  If it was harmful, my friends and family would have staged an intervention years ago.  But luckily, the side effects are minimal, usually consisting of rolled eyes and complaints from others who do not share my obsession, peppered in with occasional kudos when they truly can’t resist my latest fascinating tidbit.

This is Super Bowl Week.  It’s kinda like the week before the Oscars, Golden Globes or Grammys–but for marketing geeks.

Instead of going to get facials and manicures and Botox, we curl up with our computers and share all the latest commercial buzz.  We don’t even need to shower!  We scour the internet to find out how much a commercial costs ($4 million) and who is playing the halftime show  (Red Hot Chili Peppers).  We also like to bet on which brand has the best commercial, and who leads the Social Media frenzy on Twitter.  See we have FUN too!

So for the next week, I will share interesting facts, stats and content so when it comes game time, you can reveal YOUR inner marketing geek at YOUR Super Bowl Party.
